    After 3 years marketing Fortune 100 companies, Curt founded UpRight in 2018 to bring enterprise-level marketing talent to startups & small businesses. He started it as a side hustle with the aim to harness advances in martech and machine learning to enable world-class marketers to scale their impact.

    As a serial entrepreneur with ventures ranging from newsletters to ecommerce stores to service businesses, Curt loves entrepreneurs & is passionate about helping small businesses scale profitably, helping brand new businesses with the cold start problem & established industry leaders grow their digital sales by more than 50%.

    An avid runner, with a penchant for working outside, Curt lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife Rebekah.

    Patrick McKendry

    CEO

    A psychologist from his studies at Wake Forest University and a technical marketer by trade, he operates at the intersection of human behavior and digital technologies. Prior to UpRight, Patrick worked as a central resource at Red Ventures rotating in to industry-leading brands to modernize media operations through technology, improved processes, and personnel upskilling.

    A firm believer in the contributions of small to medium businesses to innovation and economic strength, Patrick realized that this same type of media consulting could help to significantly accelerate the growth of this market. Excited by the vision of UpRight, he joined in 2023 to establish the agency for performance marketing and fractional leadership services with the goal of increasing the availability of premium services to the broader market.

    An habitual hobbyist, Patrick enjoys woodworking, experimenting with various coffee brewing methods, perfecting his sourdough recipe (it's so close), and writing about organizational psychology.

    Rachel leads with a unique blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and empathetic leadership. Having grown her marketing roots in the agency world, specializing in paid social; she expanded into managing cross-functional performance, brand, creative, and product teams to drive results for globally renown brands and start-ups alike.

    Rachel's ability to excel in both technical and strategic realms makes her a high-level contributor in virtually every room she enters. Her deep understanding of and appreciation for the diverse, nuanced functions of a successful organization have enabled her to build strong, collaborative relationships across departments. From guiding team members in executional marketing to advising on product management and business leadership, Rachel consistently provides constructive challenges, motivational support, and musical theatre memes.

    Originally from Minnesota (SKOL), Rachel now resides in Charlotte and as such, practically lives at the pool with her two young daughters.
